BCCI's domestic tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is starting from October 11 and the impact player rule will be implemented for the first time in this tournament. Australia's T20 Big Bash League has a similar rule, though it is dubbed the X Factor. According to this rule each team has 13 players and according to the need of the team the coach and captain can replace any player before the 10th over. However, an impact player can come in place of a player who has not batted and has not bowled more than one over.


👉Impact bowler will be able to bowl four overs...

If the fielding team includes a bowler as an impact player, he will be allowed to bowl the full four overs. The number of overs bowled by the player he replaced will not matter. If the fielding team fields a bowler as an E Pact player in the 14th over, he can bowl the 14th, 16th, 18th and 20th overs as well. After the 14th over, the impact player rule will not apply.

The captains of both the teams will exchange 11 players from their playing eleven at the time of the toss and will also name four substitute players. Any one of these four players can be included in the team as an impact player during the match.
