The flag of the 2026 Commonwealth Games to be held in Australia was handed over with the banner "SEE YOU IN VICTORIA''.

Commonwealth Games conclude with colorful programme. 

The 22nd Commonwealth Games 2022 held at Birmingham concluded with colorful events at the Alexander Stadium. The closing ceremony showcased the games from start to finish and different aspects of Birmingham's history. Britain's Prince Edward announced the conclusion of the 22nd Games. More than five thousand athletes from 72 countries participated in the ocean of games held for 11 days.

At the closing ceremony, as the crowd danced to the music of the Bhangra, Prince Edward announced the end of the 22nd Game. 

Rockstar OG Osborne enthralled the crowd with music at the closing ceremony,which featured a host of well-known artists. Artists like Pop Band 40, Apache Indian, Punjabi MC and Dexy were also included in it. The Punjabi MC's song 'Mundiya Tu Bachke Rahi', including thousands of Indians present in the stadium, made the atmosphere great by dancing. Birmingham rock star OG Osbourne also spread the magic of his music and mesmerized people.

Closing flag awarded to Australia

The Commonwealth Games flag was handed over to Australia to mark the conclusion of the Birmingham Games. The next Commonwealth Games will be organized in Victoria, Australia. 23rd Commonwealth Games will be organized in 2026. Before this, the 21st Games were organized at the Gold Coast of Australia in 2018.

New games included for the first time.

The Birmingham Commonwealth Games are shaping up to be the biggest Games of all time. It hosted many more games than before. Women's cricket T20 was included for the first time in the 22nd Games in which the Indian women's team won the silver medal. Apart from this, loan balls were also included in the games after a long period. India's women's four team created history by winning the gold medal in loan balls,some of India's medals were also reduced as the shooting event was not included.

Sharath Kamal and Nikhat Zareet became the flag bearers.

Gold medalist table tennis player Sharath Kamal and boxer Nikhat Zareen were the flag bearers of the Indian team at the closing ceremony. The Indian contingent looked smaller than at the opening ceremony as some of India's medal winners had already returned home.

India prevailed over Pakistan.

 All eyes were on the match between India and Pakistan in the Commonwealth. India defeated Pakistani athletes in ten different games not only in cricket but also in other games. In badminton singles, Kashyap attracted Mahroor Shahjad, in men's doubles, the pair of Sattwik and Chirag defeated the Pakistani pair of Ali and Bhatti. A 5-0 one-sided victory against Pakistan was also achieved in the mixed doubles. In boxing, Shiva Thapa defeated Baloch 5-0.Harmanpreet's team defeated Pakistan by eight wickets in women's T20 cricket. In squash, Sunanya Kuruvila beat Faiza Jafar 3-0. In weightlifting, Ravi Dahiya won gold by defeating Asad Ali. Naveen Malik defeated Sharif Tahir 9-0 to win the gold. Deepak Poonia defeated Inam and Deepak Nehra defeated Taiyab Raja.
