🎥Before the release of the film 'Liger', its stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey churned the entire Hindustan. When he reached Punjab, a song 'Koka Koka' was released, which was not needed anywhere in the entire film. But when the song was made, it was pasted at the end of the film and since the song is in Punjabi, Ananya Pandey was asked to speak a dialogue in the climax, 'Punjab Di Wrestling'. This film proves one thing that the time has come to change the marketing style of Hindi films. When stars continue to appear on TV, Facebook, Instagram and news portals for free every day, then who will come to watch their films by spending money? As much as the crowd gathered to see Vijay Deverakonda during his Bharat Darshan, even 10 percent of his public did not see 'Liger' Hindi in theaters on the first day.

🎥The name of Puri Jagannath was first heard by the audience of Hindi cinema when his 2006 release 'Pokiri' was made by Prabhu Deva as his directorial debut in Hindi cinema as 'Wanted'. The film took over the derailed career of Salman Khan. Prior to this, Puri had made his first Telugu film 'Badri' in Hindi under the name 'Bet the Challenge'. Puri Jagannath made another film in Hindi as 'Buddha Hoga Tera Baap' with Amitabh Bachchan. Both these films failed at the box office and now it is Liger's turn. Even in his first pan India film, Puri Jagannath has been a complete failure. Neither they have any knowledge of the culture of Kashi nor the relationship between mother and son. His attempt to satisfy the sensibilities of the Hindi audience by showing only Banarasi Paan Bhandar has completely failed. In a way, the film is a remake of Mithun Chakraborty's cult film Boxer.

🎥There is a lot of discussion in Hindi newspapers and news portals about South Indian cinema that it has left Hindi cinema behind. But, the reality is far different from this. Except for a few Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films, the situation is similar to Hindi cinema there too. Indian cinema is passing through a transitional phase these days. Producers and directors have a huge stock of new and original stories. The old formulas are no longer working. And, this Puri Jagannath film Liger is a below average attempt at making a new film out of completely stale formulas. The story, screenplay, director, music and atmosphere of the film are all seen before. Barring Vijay Deverakonda acting and his hard work for this character, nothing in the film is worth watching.

🎥The film is the story of an underdog called Liger. But, its real ability, that is, its ability to compete with dozens of people, Puri Jagannath shows at the very beginning of the film. After that every fight of his becomes ineffective. After the film's trump card has already been opened, every leaf of the film is known to the audience in advance. The story is of a mother son running a tea shop in Mumbai. Mother raised her son with the hope that one day her son will get the title which her husband could not get. But, in the climax of the film, it is the son who tells this story as 'fake'. On the first day of mixed martial arts coaching, the coach says, 'I liked your confidence, but reduce the tension behind it a little.' Puri Jagannath should have done the same thing with the film.

📽a scattered question of garnering sympathy

📹Fighting, fighting and winning is a human emotion. Whenever this emotion is respected in the story, by law. The film is a hit. The producer of the film, Karan Johar, remembering his father Yash Johar, told me in his last interview, 'A hit film is a good film'. And, Liger is not a good film. This is a film that tests the patience of the audience. The story is not even told properly that Puri Jagannath starts adding tempering to the songs in it. The film gets lame from here. He also makes him stammer to garner the audience's sympathy for the hero, but here his stammer looks fake. By understanding the psychology of stammer, it could also have been made a weapon of the protagonist of the film and the matter could have settled better if the reason for this stammer was some past event.

📽Taking care of loved ones more than
necessary

📹A part from failing as a writer, Puri Jagannath has also failed completely as a director in the film 'Liger'. He has introduced his company's CEO Vishu Reddy i.e. Vish as a villain in Hindi cinema. Mike Tyson also comes in the climax and does nothing but spoil it. Karan Johar's special Ananya Pandey is the heroine of the film. Filmmakers now need to get rid of this habit of keeping their loved ones shining. Neither Vish adds any value to this film nor does Ananya Pandey. Ananya Pandey is the weakest link in the film. Acting doesn't happen to her and whenever she comes on screen, the audience starts getting tired. Even in form, elegance and beauty, she does not look like a heroine of cinema. Even in his love story composed with Vijay Deverakonda, there is no color of love anywhere. Everything looks so fake.

🎥'Arjun Reddy' did not work wonders

📹Vijay Deverakonda, who does not consider his own film 'Arjun Reddy' to be a favor to his fame, is seen here as a victim of 'Tashan'. The Hindi remake of the film 'Kabir Singh' is also mentioned in the film. Vijay's physique and his personality look attractive in the film but his acting does not sound like the son of an aspiring mother. His hard work is commendable, but the result of this hard work that should have been seen on the screen, only this 'tashan' of victory spoils it. His mother-turned-mother Ramya Krishnan is still in the hangover of 'Baahubali'. Talking dialogues with eyes open or screaming in front of the camera with bowed back, can't impress the audience every time. No mother from Kashi's background calls her son 'brother-in-law' under any circumstances. A strong mother, a beautiful girlfriend and a vainglorious hero, Hindi cinema has had a hit formula for films from Yash Chopra to Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra. Puri Jagannath tarnished this formula as well.

📸see not see🎥

📹Technically also the film 'Liger' is a weak film. The dialogues written in Hindi of the film are of a low standard and play with the sentiments of the Hindi audience. Vishnu Sharma has tried all the tricks of world cinema in cinematography these days but to see how the new era camera works, then you should watch the recently released film 'Carter' on Netflix. Making the viewer a part of the story is the true art of the camera, but Liger beats out here too. The editing of the film is very poor. Junaid Siddiqui does not understand where to end a scene. In the era of continuous flop Hindi films, the audience had high expectations from the film 'Liger', but the matter did not settle.
