Meta launches AI TranslationModel

It will easily translate more than 200 languages of the world

The social media site Facebook's parent company Meta, which was started with the intention of connecting the world, is now working to connect everyone even through language. Meta has launched an AI model on the lines of Google Translate. With the help of which one can easily translate from one language to another language. Recently, company CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company will be able to easily translate between 200 languages with the new tool.

📡Innovation started in the year 2020

META started this innovation in the year 2020 and in just two years, the number of languages has grown significantly. Earlier this tool could merge any link into English and do so with linked sources from many different languages. However, the new model can translate to other languages without English. Of course, if the Chinese language is to be translated into Spanish, it can be done quite easily.

📡'No Language Left Behind' (NLLB) model

Meta pointed out in his blog post that millions of users are unable to access digital content and be part of conversations simply because of language-related confusion. And to overcome this confusion, AI researchers have developed the 'No Language Left Behind' (NLLB) model. It supports most of the world's important languages with high quality machine translation capabilities. Of course, Meta also claims that the NLLB-200 model can translate very well to any technology. Compared to previous A1 Research, The company said the NLLB-200 performed 44 percent better on average than previous A1 research. While for some African and Indian languages, the translation of this model was found to be more than 70 percent accurate. To improve and understand the NLLB-200, META has created the FLORES-200 dataset, which will help researchers understand the model's performance in 40,000 different language directions.

📡Use with current and future technology:-

The social media company believes that using the new model will help drive more than 25 billion daily translations across Facebook, Instagram feeds and other technologies. Not only this, it can also be used in the field of metaverse, research-experiments and education in addition to the family of meta apps i.e. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp. The success of the new model will determine whether a tool or service created in any language can be used by people speaking different languages of the world. It is worth mentioning that the Google Translate tool that makes translation easy has included 24 new languages in the past few days.
